Do we encourage our children to learn about the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)?

The life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is so diverse and dynamic that thousands of scholars throughout the centuries have wrote about it. We can confidently say that the Prophet (pbuh) has indeed excelled in every aspect of life and scored the highest marks. He was the perfect father, the perfect husband, the perfect friend, the perfect teacher, the perfect trader, the perfect worshiper, the perfect worrier, the perfect leader, the perfect man in every aspect.

His biography contains awesome treasures of knowledge both, social and religious. How much do we know of it? I do not have the least doubt that Muslims around the world love Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) beyond imagination. Yet, how much do we really know this great Messenger of Allah (swt). How much did we learn from him? how much of his character have we emulated? Do we really follow His teachings? The truth, I am afraid, is that we do not. If we do follow even a fraction of his teachings we would be a very successful nation and would convey His great message by example to the rest of humanity, as He (pbuh) did.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: I have left with you that which if you hold on to you will never go astray; the book of Allah (swt) and my Sunnah (my teaching/my way of life).

We pray to Allah (swt) to help us increase our knowledge and benefit from the treasure of Islam that is easily within our reach.

Your children are your responsibility, so start them of on the right foot by encouraging them to learn about the true Muslim Character, that of our beloved Prophet (pbuh).
